Atlanta Communities: Lilburn
Originally incorporated in 1910 and re-incorporated in 1955, Lilburn lies in the western part of Gwinnett County. The CSX Railroad runs through the south part of town. One of this city's distinguishing areas is "Old Town Lilburn," a strip of antique, crafts and gift shops in buildings reminiscent of a previous era. This is contrasted with the addition of several new subdivisions within the city. Except for some isolated pieces of land, most of the open spaces have been developed. Therefore, the current population of roughly 11,000 will probably not increase dramatically in the foreseeable future. Lilburn is home to Parkview High School.Location & Population
